Role Overview

We are seeking an innovative and strategic individual to lead our IFRS 17 Technical and Strategy department, steering the company through this pivotal transformation.
Key Responsibilities
IFRS 17 Implementation Strategy
- Develop and execute a company-wide IFRS 17 implementation strategy, ensuring compliance and alignment with organisational goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, actuarial, IT, and external consultants to integrate IFRS 17 processes seamlessly.
- Advise management of the changes needed to existing reporting processes and infrastructure that need to be built to produce a new reporting process under IFRS 17 General Measurement Model.
Technical Guidance and Leadership
- Provide IFRS 17 technical expertise, guiding its application across various business units.
- Lead workshops and training sessions to enhance the technical capabilities of team members in line with IFRS 17 requirements.
Risk Management and Reporting
- Identify potential risks related to IFRS 17 implementation and devise strategic mitigation plans.
- Oversee the development of reporting frameworks that comply with IFRS 17 standards, ensuring timely and accurate financial disclosures.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the primary point of contact for IFRS 17 projects, liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment.
- Engage with external bodies and industry experts to remain updated on IFRS 17 trends and best practices.
Qualifications and Experience
- Extensive experience in IFRS 17 project management within the insurance sector.
- Domain expert in IFRS17 related matters.
- FSA or Fellow of an internationally recognized Actuarial institution
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial information.
- Proven leadership abilities with experience in guiding cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills, with the capacity to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
