Assistant Manager, Finance (IFRS 17, Big4 Welcome)
Role Summary

You will work with cross-functional teams to drive IFRS 17-related projects and to optimize our financial reporting workflow, to ensure timely and accurate financial information, facilitate month-end closing, and automate reporting processes in accordance with the IFRS 17 standards. On a day-to-day basis, you will collaborate with actuaries and data engineers on ETL setup, general ledger integration, and group reporting, while driving improvements in financial reporting and budgeting.
Your Key Responsibilities Include:
1. IFRS 17 Infrastructure Setup and Implementation
Contribute to the IFRS 17 infrastructure setup by analyzing existing company practices and constraints, and conducting comprehensive testing of the implementation.
2. General Ledger Integration
Implement a bridge between legacy and new methodologies, integrate results into the accounting system, perform entry and data reconciliation, and collaborate with engineering teams to develop reporting tools.
3. IFRS 17 Policy and Accounting Estimation Changes
Provide expert guidance on accounting estimations, policy development, and technical specifications to ensure compliance and accuracy.
4. Gap Analysis
Collaborate with the actuarial and finance departments to analyze IFRS 17 results and reporting.
5. IFRS 17 / Reporting Transformation
Prepare reports for parent companies and the upstream finance department.
Enable the finance team to perform month-end closing, automate the financial reporting process, and shorten the reporting timeline, including group consolidation reporting.

Enable the finance team to perform month-end closing, automate the financial reporting process, and shorten the reporting timeline. This includes group consolidation reporting.
2. Company budgeting
Develop and implement company budgeting tools and functionalities.
3. Other finance projects
Contribute to other finance projects as needed.
About you
You have solid IFRS 17 project management experience within the insurance industry, strong analytical skills, and the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
4+ years of experience in (life) insurance finance, with 2 to 3 years of experience in IFRS 17 projects
Hands-on experience in group reporting.
Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is a strong advantage.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial information.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
